What started with connecting computer printers to IBM systems has evolved into delivering comprehensive barcode solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.
From barcode label printers and scanners to cutting-edge software and end-to-end solutions for inventory management and asset tracking, we’ve continually expanded our products to meet the needs of modern businesses.
Adapting to change has always been part of our DNA. In the early 2000s, we launched our asset tracking system, Asset Tracking, which quickly became a vital tool for schools and academies.
At the same time ExPD’s sister company, ExPD On-Line Systems Ltd, began to win business with some of the nation’s leading couriers, specialising in conveyor, barcode scanning and sortation solutions.
By 2006, we ventured into parking solutions, collaborating with major partners like Holiday Extras to deliver innovative airport valet parking technology – an area that remains an important part of our business today.
Our flagship product OmniPost launched in 2011, tracking inbound mail for universities, councils, residential buildings and large organisations. It’s now used by over 100 clients and has evolved into a fully web-hosted platform with mobile app support.
As we’ve expanded, so has our team. We relocated to Portsmouth in 2021 to better support our growing business and in 2022, ExPD underwent an exciting restructure, with Phil Snook, Will Harris, and Carl Jackson now steering the company into the future.
Our passion for innovation continues with the introduction of our Summit Smart Locker software, which fully integrates with OmniPost and our MICS (Medicines, Inventory Control Systems) system, designed to track medical inventory.
